I am so tired lately. No rhyme or reason to it, I'm just flat out tired. I'm tired of being tired. I want my energy back.
This past weekend was our last camping trip of the season. It was a doozy. Filled with cold, winds, rain, and just pure nastiness! YUCK! Visuallize 3 kids, 3 dogs, and 2 adults crammed into a camper while it pours rain outside for nearly 12 hours. It was hateful, but we survived it.
The kids had fun despite the rain. They went trick or treating on Sat in raincoats and jeans, forget the costumes. Sunday we packed up wet - which is never fun. I still have chairs drying in my garage. And all the great decorations I bought last year for decorating the camper, were opened and put out, for about 3 hours, then put back to keep them from getting wet. Oh well...
Last week I tried something new. I went to a hip hop class at a local dance studio. I'm going to try again this week - it's on Thurs night - a no kids night each week for me. My hips hurt for about 24 hours afterwards, and my arms were sore, but I broke and sweat and had fun even though I was very self conscious. Coordination is not my strong point.
Friday night (Halloween) Tom and I are going out vanilla with my buddy Sweetie and some other friends. There is a local band that plays phenomenal 80s tunes that Sweetie just adores, so we're meeting up with her and going out. I supposed to dress up at work Friday day, dress up for going out Friday night, and then Saturday night we are heading to The Cottage for the first time in light years.
They are having a Hallow-swing party on Sat night, so the crew is gathering up and heading in for a night of fun. By crew I mean Slick and Red, Hot Lips and Medicine Man. My only regret is of course I cannot use my camera at The Cottage. However, I'm hoping to get some pics after dinner at the hotel when we're all ready, or maybe just before we go in. Not sure, just hoping.

We went to visit our friends Blondie and Her Stud last night. One of those after hours, hang out and BS kind of things. No sex - I know your stunned - but it's okay to hang out with other people who are swingers and NOT have sex.

It's been a horribly long time since I've been online. Dontcha hate it when life interrupts? I tried blogging this past weekend and kept losing my signal - we had a 3+ hour drive one way to a wedding on Sat. I didn't feel like it on the way there, so tried on the way home, and would load pics and then lose them when my signal died. So I got pissed off and quit. And last week, things just didn't happen. So I promised myself tonight was the night, then I am going to get off my ass and send all the participants their copies! I'm such a slacker I haven't even done that yet.
There are TONS of pics from Sat. And they are in a jumbled mess, so I give no creedence to when or what happened first. But since everyone wanted to be a photographer Sat night I'll just go down the line and tell you who and what is going on.

In support of the fact that we are just "normal folks", I wanted to share some of the "normal" things we did on Saturday.
We hung out under blankets and played on the computer.
We camped next to some folks called "The Borings".
We took showers (or baths) and got squeaky clean.
We ate - "see"- we ARE humans - we just have really great sex drives.
We went fishing. Okay, so only Slick went fishing, but at least he caught something!

"It's getting late and I've got 2 ppl here who want to rent a canoe. I know, it's late (it's now 5:27pm). Alright, you get on home." Then hangs up the phone and puts a piece of paper in front of each of us. We had to fill out our name and address and sign it. I guess that's her idea of "forms".

She kept looking at us like we'd eventually go away if she bitched enough, however at this point we were going if not just for spite. So we finally filled out all our forms and she took our $5 (it's now 5:29pm) and we headed down towards the river. We carried out equipment down to the river.

A couple of weeks ago, some of our swinger friends and us went adult camping. We are all families with kids and obligations, we go camping with our families and other friends, and decided we needed an adult trip to balance off the season.
